LaDigitaldelReina is a transversal platform with access to documentary and audiovisual artistic heritage related to contemporary artistic practices. Its pages grant access to the Museo Reina Sofía collections and to works and documentation from other institutions with which collaboration agreements have been established.
With the aim of strengthening the use of the platform and making its holdings more accessible to researchers and the general public alike, the Museo’s Library and Documentation Centre organises a series of training sessions on LaDigitaldelReina, in which different uses of the platform in its different forms are presented — from the most accessible to the most restricted — to facilitate interactions with participants. The primary goal of the sessions, with discussions around the future development of the platform, is for the project to adapt to the needs of different visitors, threading together links which promote and contribute to mutual and quality growth.
These sessions on LaDigitaldelReina are developed inside the framework of Look Closely, one of the lines of action that make up the mediation programme Almost Books, based on providing users with training around the Museo Reina Sofía Library’s artistic and documentary holdings, in addition to disseminating different specialist tools for research in art and contemporary creation via a series of formats such as workshops, courses and themed guides.
