Museo Reina Sofía, in its role as a vehicle of knowledge and reflection, as well as an impulse for new spaces for experimentation, creation and dissemination of contemporary art, sets in motion a number of diverse lines of thought and debate. The development of research, analysis and debate frameworks which can imbue the narrative of the Collection with an additional dimension, as well as the programming of exhibitions.The setting in motion of discussion forums on key issues of contemporary debate relevant to the museum as an institution dedicated to providing citizens with frameworks for the critical analysis of culture.The experimentation with alternative methods of mediation between the citizens and the museum's proposals, taking up as a starting point the experience of artists and of the agents with whom the museum establishes collaboration.

Concert series
In its second edition, Archipelago asserts its approach to listening as a form of both knowledge and aesthetic pleasure. Attendants are encouraged to approach the complexities of the cotemporary world not only through the ear, but also through the body, by absorbing sound with all their organs and bones.

In the fourth session of the seminar Six Contradictions and the End of the Present, Trebor Scholz and Tiziana Terranova will explore the radical transformation of labour in the digital economies. The session will include a public lecture and a debate workshop led by both theorists.

Interval 16. Dora García
Second Time Around
Inside the Intervals series, which screens films without commercial distribution, and coinciding with the conclusion of the solo exhibition on Dora García (18 April – 3 September), the artist’s latest film Segunda Vez (Second Time Around) will be screened in the Sabatini Auditorium. The film explores the relationship between fiction and history and the ways of approaching reality through staging; that is to say, the mechanisms of representation.
