Sculptor Eva Lootz’s concerns centre on experimenting with how materials behave, the meaning of their properties when perceived in isolation and analysing the relationships created between them when they are shown as a whole. With respect to the sculpture displayed here, sheep’s wool and tar – white and black – define their own materiality individually, visually coexisting with greater and greater intensity, and progressively.
