Gerardo Rueda

Collages

Gerardo Rueda’s work with collage serves as a reference point for devising the history of an artistic practice which, from its no man’s land, demands new methodological approaches and specific case studies. This volume surveys his different approaches to the technique, with essays devoted to his work with tissue paper or the found object, as well as the constructive sense his works exhibit, the connection to pictorial work and the role of irony. Furthermore, it contains an interview with the artist centred on collage and an appendix of Rueda’s chronology and writings by and about him.
