Resulting from the site-specific exhibition for the Palacio de Velázquez, the catalogue devoted to Günther Förg brings together studies around an artist who adopts heterogeneity, simultaneously producing work in the areas of photography, painting, installation, drawing, sculpture and printmaking. The essays here include an in-depth exploration into the role of architecture in his practice as a mode of searching for compositional structures and historical events, in addition to his multifaceted work in large-scale photography.
