Lipchitz
Un mundo sorprendido en el espacio
A catalogue of the retrospective devoted to the artist Jacques Lipchitz, who took sculpture towards Cubism, situating it at the start of still-open debates in the discipline. The volume includes a comparative study of the works of Juan Gris and Lipchitz and essays on the influence of war crises in Europe, Cubism’s passage towards public sculpture, his close connection to Spain and the analysis of Lipchitz which emerged from the extensive documentary corpus of his work conserved at London’s Tate Gallery.
