Locus Solus

Impressions of Raymond Roussel

First overall vision on the figure and legacy of the French writer Raymond Roussell (1877–1933) in Spain, this catalogue gathers his paradoxical universe, full of erudite references, hermetic and popular. Linked to surrealism and the historical avant-gardes he continues to be unknown, so this publication allows us to look into the keyhole of his complex and ambitious aesthetic and literary project, populated by a strange equilibrium between conceptual thoroughness and artistic/linguistic delirium, and how he has been a fundamental reference for over thirty artists and creators.
