From Revolt to Postmodernity (1962-1982)

In conjunction with the opening of the new rooms of the Museo Reina Sofía Collection, which cover the period spanning from 1962 to 1982, a new volume is published and includes texts written by Manuel Borja-Villel, Lynne Cooke, Jesús Carrillo, Rosario Peiró, Jean-François Chevrier, Isabel Tejeda, Víctor del Río, José Díaz Cuyas, Fernando David and Alexander Alberro. This new publication joins the previous one, Is the War Over? Art in a Divided World (1945–1968), in an in-depth exploration of theoretical considerations and tangential readings of twentieth-century art history, placing the stress on the presentation of documentary sources and film and sound works.
